Scanning Editable searchable text

How ho I do this?? I been looking all over but cant do this with my Epson 545 printer. I'm scanning large documents to PDF but with out the search for text feature. It makes it hard to find words. Thank you

Don't you have OCR scanning software with your Epson? As of now, the scanner just scans the text as image, not as text, that is what OCR software is there for.

it doesnt have that option for the mac software

I recommend Adobe Acrobat Pro X. Had good results so far with OCR.

im not paying 500 dollars for a feature that I got free when using windows.. There has to be a free option

It should also work with Reader.

Had to get a copy of Acrobat X Pro and FineReader.. Only credible options to OCR my digital documents
