Hi

I was watching a DVD on my MBP and i notice in top left hand corner of DVD Player.app 'SCANNING OVER DAMAGED AREA'. However i dont think the DVD is damaged. I removed the disc and the next time i watched it i didnt see this..

It is either one of the two:
a)Message only appears once
b)Disc is fine

Disc appears to be perfectly normal but this is me being paranoid.

Any ideas..

Regards

The most common cause of this is dust or hair on the disc. Make sure you remove it before inserting into the drive, as these foreign objects will confuse the disc reader.

So can i assume if the message only appears once that there is no problem with the disc or the error message only appears once ever?

Thanks

Thank you...

I was just a little worried as i was watching Heroes Season 1 - and i was worried that i might be missing a bit of the storyline but that has clarified my doubt.... the message has not appeared again.....
