Wondering if there's anyone here who's got the new ScanSnap Home version worked out.

I upgraded to it with the usual fear and trembling that accompanies anything to do with new OS's or software versions involving ScanSnap and Mac. It's actually worked out just fine, and everything works as with v2.x - except one feature. I'm referring to the menubar app. The scanning profiles used to be listed under it as a simple dropdown menu. Now they're gone from there. All I have is:

The profiles aren't GONE gone. I can still select them in the scan window. So it's not a disaster. I can live with it, if that's how it's meant to be. But I'm hoping it's not, and can be fixed. Switching profile through the menubar is infinitely more efficient.

So just wondering / hoping someone might know a fix for this behaviour. ScanSnap support is ... well let's not go there.
 
Update:
Surprise! I actually got a prompt reply from the Australian scansnap support agent. (Never before!) He confirmed that, yes, v3 doesn't support accessing profiles in the menubar. And confirmed he'll raise it with PFU support for comment, and tell me what they say.

He also drew my attention to a new (?) feature (which may perhaps be an intended replacement for the menubar profiles?). It's a setting under Preferences/General: “Show the scan window automatically when the ScanSnap is turned on
