Scared going from Unlocked 2G to 3Gs "Help..."

I have a 2G phone running 3.1.3 and it's Unlocked
I just purchased a 3Gs that's also on 3.1.3 and it's Unlocked as well.

I've done a backup of my old phone "2G" in Itunes

I go to plug my new 3Gs into itunes and it gives me two options
"Setup as a new Iphone" or "Restore from a backup of"

While I would love to keep my contacts and aps.
I'm worried about killing the unlock on my "new to me 3Gs" so I have no idea which option to choose?

I did search the forums but got even more lost as most people were taking about corrupt restores and such....I just want to know if it's safe to choose the restore option? or will it mess up my unlocks...

Restoring your data from backup won't break the unlock.
