Scares me to open my Powerbook

I've had my 15" 1.5 Ghz Powerbook for about a year and my screen doesn't seem to open and close as smoothly as an iBook... what I mean by that is that everytime I push back the screen of my PB it makes a large pop sound. It sounds maybe like the screen is screwed on a little too tight to the computer...If anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated

A friend of mine has a powerbook that does the same thing. I recomended this

although i have never used it, this is the only thing i found that would seem to help.

If you're in warranty and close to an Apple Store, I think they might fix that for you. They fixed mine--but I don't know what they did.
