The HTC. I've played with the One and found it lacking and hard to use out doors. I have never used the Desire so I can only provide one opinion.

I've never seen either of these phones in person. But I love the Sense UI, so I would choose the Desire over the Nexus One.

Nah, I'd borrow my friend's iPhone 4 . Or just use a landline phone + payphones. Serious.

I actually own a Nexus One, and the reason I wanted it over the Desire is because it's generic. It gets updates immediately, without having to wait for HTC and the local operator to approve them.
