SchoolHouse crashing!

I just discovered this amazing app called Schoolhouse, it organizes your homework and is perfect for anyone in high school. But I'm experiencing crashes every time I try to add a course to a piece of work:

If any Mac experts know what the problem is please reply. I know I'm not the only one experiencing this problem. A lot of comments on the developer's blog say the same thing. Unfortunately the developer doesn't reply to any emails or any blog comments.

i am having the exact same problem, any idea what it is? all my notes are in there it started happening yesterdat for me

Are you using version 2.1? According to the release notes for that version:

"Bug Fix: Fixed a bug that would cause a crash when assigning courses. "

We both have MacBooks. Maybe it's something to do with Intel?
