Hi there,

I have scleral lenses and got the AVP. My general takeaway is that it's a good experience but your eyes get a bit tired. In order to purchase the AVP you have to deny wearing contacts, and I can see why they feel like it might not be the best experience with contacts.

I felt that the eye movements required along with the additional focusing requirements made my eyes tire quickly, something I haven't seen as many complaints about by people who don't wear contacts.

That said, the AVP is completely usable. I might suggest that after a long period of use you may want to refill the lenses just to get them back to the comfort level you'd like.

For me they work ok. A few areas I can’t focus on to select. I switched to the pointer with head tracking in accessibility and works a lot better.

So I turned on the pointer control and as I have been using it throughout the day and paid more attention, I think a lot of what I attributed to as "glitches" with being able to select things were actually due to my eyes not being correctly identified as looking at the right spot. I'm guessing that this is due to the lenses and not due to a UI glitch.

For example, I am constantly finding that the pointer is about half an inch above where I want it to be, especially when looking at the bottom of a window.

I tried with head tracking and that just kills my neck lol.

Also re-set the eye tracking through Settings 2-3 times without significant improvement (it works for a short time and then it reverts back).

Is this what you're finding too @DblHelix

Pretty similar and at times with eye tracking I have to rotate my head toward one shoulder or another for it to pick up where I am looking.
