i have a compiled applescript i'd like to place in my app's resource folder so it launches quicker than having my app compile the script.
in Script Editor, when i try to save the script as "Something.scptd" it says i have to use ".scpt". i'm only trying to use .scptd because it says to do so in the Help second of Script Editor under saving a compiled script.
so i went ahead and saved it as a .scpt, but it doesn't do anything. also, none of the apple script examples work? Utilities > AppleScript > Example Scripts > Basics. i think there may be something wrong because i though scripts had an icon and not a blank page icon (see image).
any thoughts?
