Scrambled Text in Safari and Firefox

Hello,

The text on some websites comes up scrambled - as attached. What have I done to deserve this!? I don't know where to begin looking.

I had this problem about two years ago on Tiger.

I fixed it using the directions here... I have no idea if this will work on Leopard.
