Is there anything anyone out there has done for scratches and possibly even dents on the back aluminum of a first generation iPhone?

My phone was immaculate for nearly a year, and I finally dropped it, giving it a couple scratches and an ugly dent on one of the corners.

Anyone have any possible solutions?

There are cheaper replacement solutions, but thats the first one I know of.
As far as I know, there really is no wax/compound to put on the back.

I just sent them an e-mail asking how much they could bang off the price if I provided the backplate. If I'm going to replace it I think I'd like a black one, which I found online for like $20. I can't see the FedEx shipping being more than like $50

Edit: Nevermind, shut down... they only replace parts bought from them. Figured that though.

If anyone else has any suggestions, speak up.
