I have got a 2010 mbp 13'

A slight scratch noise comes from the lid when i am closing, the noise is annoying me and happened a few weeks ago.

Do you think it is a fault ?

That scratch noise is coming when it is nearly closed but not fully. I checked the hinges but have not seen anything at all.

The sound is not coming every time I close it ,but it is coming often. It is noticeable only when the environment is quiet.

I guess try to locate where it's coming from by listening. Not sure if you got what I meant by my last post - I meant either side of the hinges, not necessarily the hinges themselves. Sorry if that's what you meant :)

yes, it is coming from hinges

noise coming from the left side of the hinge i think the plastic wrapped cover is not aligned properly on the left. I mean it is not looking like a straight line in the empty space between body so It is rubbing the metal cover.

When you look to left side of plastic cover it is exceeding the metal body to the out of it but the right side of the plastic is just beyond the body.

How can i fix it ?

do i need to open it ? if yes, what screwdriver i need and do i have to open all the parts or just back cover is enough ?

I do not want to mess with a 4 months old mbp.

I do not want to lose my mbp 2 weeks

It's not going to take 2 weeks. Maybe 3-4 days if they have to replace the display lid.

Odds are they might reseat the top and that will take maybe just an afternoon.
