Scratches on bottom plastic area of screen on new Pro 14?

I just got a new 14” Pro yesterday on a great sale going on. Love the laptop! My concern is there’s wear marks/marring down on the plastic trim area by the hinge underneath the screen. Looks like from closing and opening the lid. Is this a widespread issue or so? Never had this problem in a new apple laptop before
