Hello guys!

My bro has an ipad mini with its apple care plan that expires in a year. Right now, the tablet has few scratches on the silver back. I saw them and they are small ones (but biggest for my "picky" bro). Apple can fix this using his apple care plan?. They could exchange it?

Please, if someone can help us, would be perfect!!!!!
Thanks!

If you read the fine print, it says apple care does not cover cosmetic damage I.e. Scratches /wear and tear.

Applecare is only for manufacturer defects, not for damage or wear and tear incurred by using or misusing the tablet.

Scratches give you eyesore? I suggest you buy iPad smart case. :apple:

His hard case made the scratches, specially on the sides. Yes, now we know that smart case was better.

Does anybody know if this scratches can be repaired?

Thanks for being there guys!

Nope cant be fixed. He'll just need to get used to them.

Is it AppleCare Plus, the "add-on" AppleCare? If so, and if they really bother him, he could have it replaced for $49. If it's just the standard AppleCare that comes with the device, nope.

He has apple care + but supposedly this plan doesn't cover cosmetic damage like diamornte said before or I am wrong?
If this plan is the right one, he just need to go to apple store and say my ipad has scratches and ask them for a replacement paying $49?

Thanks again to everyone!
