Noticed this earlier when I bought the phone nearly a year ago-- but it was very faint, and only momentary during the beginning of a call, so it was not a big issue. The scratchy, squeaky sound went away within a minute into the call, and was not loud.
However, it has gotten progressively worse, and suddenly *much* worse- to where I have a lot of trouble hearing my calls (I mainly use the phone on my ear). Eventualy it does stop, but only not after 15 minutes or so.
Restarting does not help. Seemed to make no difference between earlier software updates and the current 3.0. Actually soudns more like hardware, anyhow. This does not happen in speakerphone or bluetooth.
Is this a known issue? I am kicking myself for not complaining immediately when I bought the phone-- but it only seemed like only a minor thing at the time.
