Well, I seem to have a couple of problems on my hands.
First, there is a small (maybe eyelash) hair inside my MBP screen. It's about a quarter from the right and bottom, and I don't know how it got so far inside, nor do I have any idea how to get it out. Any ideas? I'd prefer a relatively safe option.
Second:
Around 6 months ago, I purchased a G-Tech quad-interface 320gb external HDD that I ran through FW800. After using it rigorously in Final Cut Pro for a good month or two, the drive completely stopped working on my laptop. It would mount, and I could open it in Finder, but when I tried to access files, i would just get the beach ball, and Finder would completely freeze. If I could relaunch, it wouldn't eject, and I usually had to shut my laptop down manually.
After phoning the company, I found out it could be a problem due to FCP, and running a DV camera straight to the drive and it could be corrupted directories. So I gave the drive to an acquaintance of mine to try to fix, but apparently it works, but I haven't gotten it back yet.
In the mean time, about 2 weeks ago I went out and bought a LaCie 1Tb triple interface drive. It worked fine, and things would transfer properly, but just a few days ago, the same problem started as with the G-Tech. I haven't used it with FCP or Time Machine, so I don't understand why this would happen. I believe it may be caused by a virus, but I should hope not.
Any advice on either of these issues would be really appreciated.
Thanks guys!
