screen bleed? on 2011 15"

i have a 2011 macbook pro 15" i got in september.

whenever the screen displays black i get a nice blue glow coming from the bottom of the screen.
is this normal?
if not, is this something they can fix/ replace at an apple store?

Only in extreme cases.

so in researching this i found that apple just updated the macbook pros.
i bought mine september 1st and they updated them october 24.
apple's policy says they will swap your existing machine for the new ones if its updated within 2 weeks. i've had mine for 2 months but i figured it was worth a try.

long story short im at the apple store for about an hour and finally the genius guy comes out with a brand new updated macbook pro to swap for me!

bad news - didn't buy mine at an actual apple store and they couldn't do the swap.

just thought i'd share
