Screen blurry when using Chrome

So intermittently when I'm using the Chrome browser the pixels along the tabs get screwed up. (See image) it tends to flicker on and off and change when the cursor moves over the area. Sometimes its just a long line other times it's just parts. Always the same area of the window but doesn't always happen.

It only happens in Chrome so don't think it's the actual screen. I've removed and reinstalled Chrome and the problem still occurs.

any help of suggestions would be appreciated.
