when i have the power cable charging the macbook i like to set the power options to UNCHECK automatically reduce the brightness of the display before sleep so i dont have to keep waking up the screen its really annoying when im trying to read soething. but for some reason the sreen stll dimms down. any1 having this problem? am i doing something wrong?

It's a bug, and Apple know about it. Sometimes you can get around it by turning the option on, closing System Prefs, then turning it off again, although this doesn't always work.
