Ok, this is really hard to explain, but let me do the best I can.
When I play certain videos/movies or display photos that are somewhat dark, the brightness goes down, even though it's on the same brightness setting. Then, when I switch back to another window (MacRumors for example), it looks "normal" again. "Automatically Adjust Brightness" AND True Tone are both off. Also, this happens in both light and dark mode.
It appears to happen more when the brightness is turned down. Also, I have the brightness at halfway all the time, because max brightness is unnecessary for me.
This isn't really a "problem" for me, just something I noticed.
It is extremely difficult to reproduce (I never know when it's going to happen). Also, as a test, I played one of the darker scenes from a movie, and looked away from the display, hit pause and looked back, and it was darker! Then, 5 seconds later, the brightness is back to normal - and I can see it go up and down with my own eyes.
Does anyone know why this happens?
