I have a 17 inch macbook pro, and i just noticed that all of a sudden, whenever i open up light colored windows on my black desktop background, they leave like a trail burned into the desktop.

Has anyone ever seen this before? It seems to only be happening on the top center area of my screen. It just started an hour or two ago.

thanks, josh.

take it to apple, lcd's should not burn in or leave noise trails

Yeah, i guess the correct term might be noise trail, or screen memory. something like that.

It has gone away now, but i've seen this happen twice so far.

LCD's, as stated, don't burn in..
Sounds like you have either a loose cable or a screwed up video card. Even if it went away temporarily, explain it to Apple and get it fixed!
