I put a few photos on my new iPod Touch. So far, the screen is very impressive.

I had one photo with a lot of blacks, and lot of the details were lost. I put the same photo on my Sony PSP, and the details weren't lost. Any benefit of the extra resolution of the iPod was negated by the poor contrast (I think it's contrast). The image on the Sony PSP was surprisingly much better.

Is there a photo app other than the one that comes with the IPod Touch? I tried adjusting the brightness, but it doesn't help. Wondering if there's some app that will have a few more options when viewong photos.

Otherwise, I love the new iPod Touch.

I'd also like to be able to view images 1:1 like I can on the PSP.

IIRC, the new iPod touch has the same contrast ratio as the iPhone 4 despite the lack of IPS.
