For some reason it doesnt work when the DVD program is open! Anyone know how to save an image from a DVD?

Apple doesnt want you capturing screenshots of DVDs. Whats to keep a person from capturing 1 million screenshots during a movie and converting them into an animated GIF to watch the whole movie?

Im not so sure DVDs will still be popular by the time you are done with taking all those screen shots in 2014.

Or, you could just have Automator capture all those pictures...

All those software suggestions are good. Sorry I can't be helpful.

from the terminal

screencapture -c

(I've not tried it under Tiger though)
