So my brother and myself live far from each other and were watching to essentially FaceTime one another and tape our conversation for video use.

We have been using Skype and doing the record feature built into the program. Unfortunately the video quality on the final product isn't as good as it appears when we are actually talking live.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to best video quality while do a video conference like this? Are there settings or maybe a better program, or program combo I could use to get the best possible quality while we do this?

Thanks in advance!

Can't comment specifically on how to improve Skype. But some options include using Quicktime Player to record the screen, and then using something like iMovie to sync the audio and video. Or, using something like Camtasia. While is is a "for-pay" product, it has always recorded at the highest fidelity whatever is playing audio and video) on my Mac.
