I picked up my MBP16 today from an Apple store - they had completed an in-warranty repair which involved replacing the top case, keyboard and Touch Bar. So far so good.
When I got home to check the computer, I noticed a series of tiny 'dents' in the screen - I can count five, like there are particles embedded in the glass. They won't wipe off and I can feel and see an indentation. I wonder if in the course of repair the screen has been rested on something like a stand or closed with debris inside.
The repair notes Apple made when I handed in the machine mentioned 'fingerprints on the display' but no dents or damage, and I'm certain they weren't there either - the machine is 6 months old and it's been on a desktop stand for nearly four of them.
Has anyone else experienced accidental damage during a repair job? The store manager has invited me back in tomorrow to discuss and inspect the machine together and I'm wondering what to expect. I'd like them to replace the screen.
