Over the past three months, my screen in my macbook pro has periodically faded causing my mouse to freeze up and forcing me to reboot the computer in order to use the computer again. The screen gets fuzzy and goes a greenish yellow and continues to get darker until it is completely black. I can still see the outlines of what I had been working on but cannot do anything. When I hook up an external monitor to the computer, the external monitor is fine but the laptop screen will still go away. It is getting to the point where it is happening once a day. Not very convenient for my work flow.
Does anyone know what would cause this and if I have to get it fixed how much it will cost?
