Long time no post.

Figured I would ask here, since I won't be able to ask in store until Friday. The screen on my 13" TB MBPro has just developed an issue. Looks like a failing pixel, it's already taken out one line horizontally and the vertical is also flickering. There's no visible damage to glass or chassis, and fault developed as I was at my desk working.

Since I bought the laptop, I have relocated from the UK to Amsterdam. I know that in the UK I might have to argue some, but I should be covered by the consumer law on a barely 2-year old £2k+ laptop. It seems that the phrasing in the Netherlands is "lifetime" - which I take to be broadly similar, such that a premium machine should be good for a "reasonable" lifetime.

However, I am rather skeptical of getting the Amsterdam store to honour UK law, even if the same argument would apply in the Netherlands. Can anyone provide any experience on this point?

To note: they did replace the keyboard here, but that was under the butterfly keyboard service programme so is not directly analogous.
