screen flash when wake?

Just wondering if this was a added "feature" or a bug or something?
I installed the 10.3.1 update on my 6s. And when click to wake it, it sort of does a light flash on the screen. Is this supposed to be making a smoother transition or something? Feel like I'm getting MIB'd each time I wake my phone.

Certainly not a feature. Any way you could get a video of this? Is it similar to the flash when you take a screenshot?

Tried taking a video, but can't really show what I'm talking about well enough. But yeah, it's a simliar flash as if you took a screenshot. But it happens every time I wake the phone.
Any suggestions?

I haven't experienced anything like that. Have you tried restarting your phone? Hard reset?
