Screen Flash

Every couple of minutes my screen flashes and there is a tick sound. Since I am new to Mac I am sure that I checked some type of box during set up. can someone point me in the direction so that I can make it stop? I have searched through all the setting that I can think of / find but it still is happening.

The applications that I have active are iChat, MSN Messenger, mail & Outlook (whole other issue that I am trying to work out).

Any assistance is appreciated

Is the there a light near the webcam? If so, you're probably taking pictures. If not then bring it to an Apple Store. It could be a GPU problem or something.

~Fixed~

Was an alert inside of Outlook, to let me know that it had checked for new mail but there were no new messages.
