It just started today, soon after I launch google chrome, part, if not the entire window will flash blue. It is only in Chrome, because I have not experienced this problem in Safari. Any ideas?

I would uninstall chrome. Check the library for odd leftover files, and install a freshly downloaded copy. In my experience having used Chrome since day one, it's been especially fast & trouble free. Your situation may simply be a fluke.

This just started happening to me the other day, after a complete clean system reinstall, so it's not old files or anything. I'm now guessing it's some kind of bug they'll sort out soon (for a long time flash objects would render as a transparent hole in the Chrome window - I could literally move stuff around in the Finder through that hole).

It's annoying, but it's a relief to hear it's happening elsewhere - I was getting worried that my computer was beginning to fry.

I'd love to hear from somebody who can identify the real problem though!

cheers

Same here...

I am having the same problem with Chrome on my Macbook also. It even goes to the point of if my screen goes to sleep after it is woken up the whole Chrome window is blue. This is just a recent thing for me also.

Same problem here but doesn't happen very often. I would bet it's a chrome software issue. Safari had the white screen flash problem for a while.

Same. Only started a few days ago (presumably a Chrome update has caused this). Has led to Chrome crashing a few times.

weird my screen changes to a blue colourish, like the screen has been automatically been adjusted when chrome opens.

it goes back to normal when chrome is closed. I did delete the app before but it has come back again

I experience this flashing on my MacBook Pro as well. I experience it in Safari, and in Chrome. I notice it much more often when I use my external monitor, but it also happens using the integrated display. I think as it changes pages, the screen first loads a white page, then fills the content an instant later, causing this flashing effect. It's nothing during the day, but at night it can be sort of obnoxious. It is clearly a software issue, hope it goes away in Mountain Lion.
