2016, 13" MBP.
When the screensaver came on the screen started to flash, looks like a hardware issue but I haven't been able to reproduce it since (last 30 minutes).

The laptop was not hooked up to anything other than the power brick.

Should I be worried? Any tests I can run?

Here's a video of the flashing.

Thanks

My 13" TB did something similar this morning. After charging all night, I opened it up to the desktop (not a website) and the screen freaked out, flashing reverse colors and then blinking dashes all over the screen. A reboot made it stop, but troubling none the less. I'm planning to return for a 15" anyway, but not a good sign.

When I first turn on my MacBook Pro I have a very quick flash on the bottom third of the screen which looks like some type of colorful test pattern. Its very brief and doesn't affect anything so far, but I am concerned that it could lead to something larger.

What you have is much worse and if you are able I would head to a Mac store and exchange it for another one. there are people here more knowledgeable than me, but my IT guy told me to always get a new one if its in the return window.

Deleted due to my error.

The picture he posted is from a website saying that he couldn't watch the Vimeo video on the site he was on, and had to go directly to vimeo to view it. Why would he need to exchange this Mac for that?

????

It's a link to a video that shows the issue he is having. Click on the "Watch on Vimeo" button. The Vimeo video settings are preventing the ability to view it within the post here.

Looks like a hardware issue to me.

My bad. I thought the picture posted was exempt of the problem. I didn't realize it was a working link. Sorry about that, folks. I agree. Looks like it could be a hardware problem. I have seen about 3 or 4 posts one the forum mentioning a flickering screen.

Apple took the laptop back no questions asked after seeing the video.
They didn't have a matching replacement model but they did have a 13" Space Grey with 16GB ram and i7 processor. :)
Didn't need the i7 but I did want the 16GB. Hope the price difference is worth it.

Apple has first rate customer service. Have always been pleased with the service I have gotten. Congrats.
