Hey everyone,

I am encountering a weird issue in color. When I bring over a file from FCP or directly import a file into Color and try to play it back, the screen flickers for the duration of the piece. It isn't the file itself, as I have tested the file on my macbook and it runs perfectly fine in color. I haven't encountered any issue with the file itself playing back in FCP 7 either(on the Tower). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Really looking forward to color correcting on the cinema displays. :/

Mac Pro Specs:

2x 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
Memory 20 GB 800MHz DDR2 FB -Dimm
Os 10.84

Macbook Pro
2.4 GHz Intel Core i7
16GB
Intel HD (312MB)
OS 10.8.3

You lost me here. You bring in a file from FCP(WHAT VERSION) but is plays in FCP7?????:)

Sorry about that. Final Cut Pro 7 is the current version that I am using. The file plays just fine in Final Cut, but when I File > Send to > Color(Or even render and directly import into Color) the screen flickers whenever I go to play the video back in the timeline. I repeated both processes on my macbook pro and didn't encounter any issues.
