I was wondering if anyone knows what is going on with my screen. It is flickering erratically and shows random lines or big rectangle blotches appearing and disappearing. I have a small 30 second video here to demonstrate this. FYI the background is supposed to be one basic color so no worries there.

It has also gotten even worse at times, sometimes taking up the entire screen, being different colors (pink-black spectrum). At this moment it is just flickering ten pixel horizontal black lines every minute or so.

Also, I did mirror the display through Apple TV and on the Apple TV it is showing up flawlessly. I hope this exonerates my computer from some sort of processor repair.

It should be less than a year old.

It's your screen
or,
the logic board
or,
the cable that connects the two.

If your MBPro is less than 1 year old, then you certainly have warranty - it's a hardware issue, and Apple should fix it up.
Take to your nearest Apple store, or Apple-authorized repair shop for a checkout. They will tell you pretty quickly what needs to happen.
