Screen Glass?

It might be that I missed something from last year ir maybe they just don't mention it any more but is the screen glass still different across models?

I remember that on S0 it was IonX for Aluminium and Sapphire Crystal for the others. Series 2 I believed to be the same? What's the deal now?

It’s exactly the same. The sport model offers the Ion-X and sapphire for the stainless model. All the Apple Watch models now have a ceramic backing. .

If you look under ‘tech specs’ under the mobile app, it does list the Ion-X Glass for the aluminum model and the sapphire display for the stainless model.

It has a Ceramic backing for the Sport model, not sapphire. Sapphire Only Applies to the stainless display.

You’re correct, its a composition of sapphire. Under tech specs on the mobile App, it doesn’t identify this, it just a Ceramic back, but identifies the Ion-X Glass and sapphire displays.

It’s not omitted it’s on the tech specs page. The aluminum has ion X glass for the face and ceramic & sapphire crystal for the back. The stainless steel model has sapphire on both sides.
