Screen goes black for a second when copying files

Hi everyone,

today something strange happened and i was wondering if someone knows what the reason could be.

I'm working on a nmp 6 core and when i draged some files to another folder, right on the sound you hear when the file drops in the folder the screen went completely black for a small second and then came back. It only happened once.

Does this sound like some kind of software issue that happened or is this a sign of some hardware problem...computer is running fine and its actually the first time i ever had this.

should i be worried?

My Thunderbolt display used to go black for no reason and come back shortly after - seemingly for no reason. Turning off "Automatically adjust brightness" in System Preferences fixed it.
