I work on a desk that my monitor sometimes hits against the wall. When it is at the right angle, it flickers black and then back on, or if I close it at 95 degree angle or less it turns black. I believe this is a short. Do you think this is correct? How much do you think it would cost to fix it?

It could be..

a) Cable going from logic board to inverter board.
b) Cable going from inverter board to LCD.
b) Cable going from logic board to LCD.
d) LCD itself.

If it's A or B, the screen will be dark, but visible.

If it's C or D, the screen will be dark and have nothing visible.
