Screen goes black when connecting to an external monitor

Hey guys, whenever I connect my Late 2011 Macbook Pro to one of my Samsung monitors while running Windows 7 through Bootcamp my laptop screen goes black and nothing shows up on the monitor. I've tried cmd + P, but nothing happens. I've also tried hitting all of the F1 to F12s and nothing happens. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
