I just went to turn on my MBP and the screen won't turn on but thekeyboard lights up. What do I do?!?!

Couple of questions

1) How old is it, is it under warranty still?
2) Have you ever had it connected to an external monitor / TV? If so have you tried re-connecting it to boot from this?

It is 1 year old. I just called apple they are gonna replace It for me.
