I am going to purchase an Apple Watch today or tomorrow. I planned to get the sport watch, but I am worried that the glass will scratch more easily than the more expensive sapphire crystal version. Can I please get some feedback? Is it worth spending more money to get the sapphire crystal or is the Ion-X glass good enough? I don't really feel like spending $200 more if the difference is negligible. Should I put a screen protector on it? I feel weird doing that, but I figured I'd throw that question out there as well.

Thanks a lot!

Consumer reports does a screen scratch test at the beginning of the following video. Also, keep in mind, if the case itself is scratched, you can polish the scracthes out of the stainless steel version:

Thank you. I went with the stainless steel because why not? It arrives tomorrow and I can't wait!
