had a MacBook Air for the past 3 years. No problems until today.
The left 1.5 inches of the screen is reversed - and the colors are off.
Any thoughts on how to address?
About to make an appointment at Apple.

But, your description sounds like you have a cracked (broken) LCD panel... :oops:

Ah, OK. I had a different thought-picture for "reversed"
Your screen image is what I would call folded.
Quite unusual, I think

Reboot into Safe mode (restart holding the shift key).
Do you see the same folded screen, in the same location?

When you reboot, can you tell if the area is affected before the desktop (and icons/dock) appear on the screen?
