I just bought a new Macbook Pro the other day (15" 2.2 i7 quad-core... it rocks), and I opened up Front Row and noticed some unevenness in the screen backlighting along the bottom.

So, I made a black background image and took a picture to show what I'm talking about.

It only shows up on a black or super dark screen.

Is this normal?

Totally normal on a laptop, especially the 13".

Mine is the same.

Ok, if it's normal then I won't worry about it. It's only 2 days old, so I could take it back and exchange it if it wasn't normal.

Unfortunately, it is normal.

I have the same on my 17", but it was a lot worse on the glossy.. When i exchanged it for a AG screen it was a lot better.

I guess I just don't remember seeing it on my old MacBook pro. Looking around I see a lot of people saying that almost all MBP's have backlight bleed. That's kind of disappointing.
