I know it's unlikely, but who knows? They are different machines, and thus far, only some users have reported issues. Vote and we will see!
 
I've noticed that a lot of complaints seem to be with 16GB iPods. But that could just be because more people are buying the 16GB iPod touch like most people bought the 8GB iPhone.
