iPad Screen Jitters

First let me say what a great forum this is. Next let me try and explain my problem. On my ipad 1 every now and again the screen goes haywire displaying all sorts of screens like keyboard appearing and then going even when I haven't pressed any keys for it also apps seem to open of their own accord. I am at a total loss why this should happen My first thoughts was that may whilst cleaning the screen with the ipad not properly shutdown. But since this I have compleatly shut down the ipad. and cleaned screen and it still happens. I have even left the screen as it is and still get my problem. I hope someone can of assistance.
