screen keeps going black

i have a i have a G5 power mac and recently the screen will randomly go blank and i will have to sleep my computer and wake it up in order to get the screen back. when the screen goes black the programs that i am running, still run, but i can't wake my screen up. i don't know what the deal is

Sounds like we have the same problem.
We also both have lots of views with no replies, unfortunately.

Have any of the pins broken off? Have you checked to see that that AGP/PCI-E card is secure in its slot?
