May Marlon Brando rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. He certainly managed to live a long full life.

He once said: "The only thing an actor owes his public is not to bore them." Only if more would follow his lead.

URL please.

TIA,

Sushi

i dont have an exact link to specify him being in debt - i heard it reported on the news earlier today when i first heard about his passing but here they make mention of him being in debt

Brando reportedly wound up millions of dollars in debt defending Christian, and the star subsisted during his final years almost entirely on small residuals from his films, Social Security benefits and a pension from the Screen Actors Guild.

Thanks for the URL.

I had not heard this.

Unfortunate for someone who was such a great actor and inspiration to others.

i think he was a great actor, its sad to see one who had so much talent have so many problems

I remember a couple of years ago I saw a trailer for a movie with Edward Norton, Robert De Niro and Brando and made a bet that the movie meant he would be dead in a few more years, guess I was right but I don't really feel like collecting on it.

Well, he entertained us in The Godfather, Guys and Dolls, The Freshman,
Apocalypse Now, and a ton more great classics. I am actually glad he lived to be eighty, considering his health and weight.

Rest in Peace.

Peace!

The name of the movie was "The Score".

I actually met Mr. Brando at his home the week he was leaving to film that movie. My boss and I sat and chatted with him in front of his computers for a few hours. He was a very interesting man, and quite a joker. He was constantly giving us a hard time about things, and just having fun. I don't know that he was in debt, he was having his home remodeled when I was there. It just all seems more surreal, now that he has passed away. It is just a great memory I will always have.
