screen magnification

Hello everyone
I am new to mac's and i have a problem, i hope you can help?.
My screen enlarges itself a few seconds after the mac starts, and it means that i can not see all the screen with out scrolling sideways, i have tried the desktop and display settings, but to no avail.
help please

Turn off in "Zoom" under "Seeing" in "Universal Access"
