Screen mirroring with cable.

I've got an iPhone 4 with an HDMI adapter so I can watch netflix movies and stuff on the go. I used to have a Cydia app the allowed full mirroring, but I don't want to JB until it's untethered for iOS5. Is there any other way that I can mirror my iPhone on my TV without iTV 2?

And why would they allow wireless mirroring, and not wired mirroring?

Mirroring only works with the iPad 2 and iPhone 4s regardless of the type of connection.
