Anyone know of a screen modification that can allow MBP 13 to have atleast 1440x900 display area the current 1286x800 is too small for my requirement. I'd love to get 1680x1050 if not atleast 1440x900. Is this thing possible because Apple is not going to provide higher resolution screen on MBP 13.

I guess anything is possible with the right amount of money, but in reality no, there is no screen mod to increase the resolution.

While this isn't a hardware mod you seek, there is a trick that some of the Hackintosh guys use for virtually scaling windows into looking like they are at a higher resolution.

From terminal:

defaults write -g AppleDisplayScaleFactor <scale factor>

You can use .95, .9, .8, etc... as the scale factor value. You can revert by repeating, scale factor 1
