Hello,

It seems Mavericks makes the screen brighter by default.

I usually run Snow Leopard on my Imac and have the brightness set to the lowest setting. However sometime I boot into Mavericks on an external partition and find that the screen is much brighter despite still being set to the lowest setting.

Why is this? Has anyone else notice this?

Usually I find the lowest brightness setting adequate for general use and only make it brighter for movies etc. At night Mavericks is far too bright.

Normally I use F.lux to warm the screen colours which helps a lot but the difference between Snow Leopard and Mavericks is very obvious to me.

Thanks
