screen not filling up at the top?

Hi guys! First time mac user here!! I've noticed that in the background, top menu bar doesn't line up all the way up to the bezel. There's black space between the menu bar and the bezel. Is this normal? It's a brand new 27 inch imac that I received today. Here is the pic:

Normal. My late '09 27" iMac is the same way.

Yeah, that is normal.... unless you notice it isn't parallel to the bezel. (in which case the display may not be seated correctly in the housing)

But some black space around the edge is fine.
